This CDC and NIOSH-approved respirator has been tested and certified to provide at least 95% bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) against non-oily particulates that are .3 microns in diameter or greater. This can include particulates such as dust, mists, fumes, and solid matter from minerals, ores, and agriculture. Respirators are designed to reduce the chance of being exposed to hazardous airborne particles such as some bacteria and viruses.
This respirator is non-vented. It features an adjustable nose bridge and is affixed to the face via head straps. The interior of the mask is soft and comfortable against the face. This product does not contain latex. This mask is durable as well as foldable.
Makrite® Disposable Respirators are single-use and should be discarded when they no longer form an effective seal when they become difficult to inhale and exhale through, when they are contaminated with blood or other body fluids, or they otherwise become damaged or deformed.
Storage & Transportation
The N95 Series Particulate Respirators have a shelf life of 3 years. The end of shelf life is marked on the product packaging. Before initial use, always check that the product is within the stated shelf life (use by date). The product should be stored in clean, dry conditions within the temperature range: -5°C to + 50°C with a maximum relative humidity of <75%. When storing or transporting this product use the original packaging provided.
